NFL Cancels Fantasy Football Convention in Las Vegas Headed by Tony Romo

The NFL certainly doesn't have any problem endorsing fantasy football or allowing some of its biggest stars to take part in the promotion of the venture. When that promotion is in any way connected to a casino, though, the league draws a line in the sand. 
According to ESPN's Todd Archer, the NFL put the kibosh on the National Fantasy Football Convention, which was initially scheduled for July at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. The event was headlined by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and would've included over a hundred other NFL players.
Romo didn't take the news well:
Fellow Cowboy Dez Bryant was less diplomatic, issuing a string of NSFW tweets. They read, "don't understand whenever they make s--t load of money off of us smh....." and "@tonyromo put that event together for the fans... Geniuses s--t."
