NFL Mock Draft 2011: Will Cam Newton Rise Following Workouts?

Speculation continues to surround the 2010 Heisman Trophy winner, and he now has as many as 10 workouts with nine different teams scheduled over the next three weeks.
Cam Newton has yet to be defeated on the big stage this year, and it is now down to about six other players vying for the top spot in the 2011 NFL Draft.
The heavily debated No. 1 prospect spot in this draft class has settled down to approximately three players: Patrick Peterson of LSU, Marcell Dareus of Alabama and A.J. Green of Georgia.
All three have the potential to be the first name called on April 28, but there is no denying that the quarterback position is the trending pick of the last decade at the top of the draft.
Newton and Missouri's Blaine Gabbert are believed to be the only quarterbacks in the mix for the top 10 at this stage and any other signal caller would be a reach.
