NFL Odds Show New York Jets Favored By 5 Points Against Miami Dolphins

We’re about to find out if burying the game ball from last week’s 45-3 loss to New England will help the New York Jets bury the Miami Dolphins Sunday. NFL odds makers have given New York the edge, listing the Jets as five point favorites with the total set at 39.5.
The symbolism behind burying a football may not be enough to help the Jets recover from such a blow to their collective ego. New York had a chance to put itself in the driver’s seat for an AFC East title and home field throughout the playoffs, but Tom Brady and company had other ideas.
The Jets will have to find a way to pick themselves up in a a hurry as dates with division leaders Pittsburgh and Chicago are up next. They can start with Miami.
