NFL Picks Week 8: Cowboys Get Back On Track Against the Jaguars

Just when it looked like things couldn’t get any worse for Dallas, they did.
As if a 1-5 start wasn’t bad enough, Dallas will be without starting quarterback Tony Romo for six to eight weeks after he fractured to his left clavicle in last week’s 41-35 loss to the Giants.
If the Cowboys were already a long shot to make the postseason after a 1-4 start, what are they now? Only the 1970 Bengals have rebounded from a 1-5 start to reach the playoffs.
NFL oddsmakers do expect Dallas to bounce back this week, listing the Cowboys as a 6.5—point favorite with the total set at 43.
With Romo out, backup Jon Kitna will take on the tough task of leading Dallas out of the NFC East basement. Kitna was rusty early on in relief of Romo a week ago, but eventually settled in. Overall, he was 16-of-33 for 187 yards with two touchdown passes to Dez Bryant.
