NFL Playoff Picture: 49ers Need Help
If you think about it, the San Francisco 49ers (5-9) might have a better chance to make the playoffs than the 6-8 Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks could very well lose to the Buccaneers in Week 16.
If that happens, the Niners would have to beat the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals to capture the division, not exactly a tall order.
Of course, they have to beat the St. Louis Rams first in Week 16.
A win against the Rams very well could be the determinant of the NFC West winner.
Question: Are you considered a winner if you finish 7-9?
Coach Mike Singletary has decided on his starting quarterback between Alex Smith and Troy Smith, but he's keeping mum about it for the time being.
