NFL Playoff Picture: How Can San Francisco Still Make It In?
The San Francisco 49ers are 5-9 and yet miraculously, still has a shot at the playoffs, albeit a small one.
In order for the 49ers to sneak into the playoffs and actually host a playoff game, they must first win. They need to make up a one game lead by both St. Louis and Seattle. However, the 9ers get a chance to play against the division leading Rams this week.
With a win in that game and a loss this week by Seattle, the 49ers will suddenly see themselves in the drivers seat for the NFC West crown. Shocking when you consider the fact that the 49ers started the season 1-6.
