NFL Predictions for 2010 Season: Can the New York Jets Support the Hype?

I haven't seen so much hype for such an unproven NFL team in quite some time. 
Many times, the reigning Super Bowl Champion and playoff teams from the previous season don't meet expectations the next. And sometimes, teams that had so-so regular seasons but ended their years on a hot streak get a boost in the rankings come pre-season.
And that is exactly what has happened with the New York Jets.
SI.com has them ranked No. 1 in their new pre-training camp rankings. Now, of course none of these silly rankings matter because no games have been played. But they mean something.
The Jets are the hot team. They are the "it" team of the moment, the young studs. The team that was interested in signing Terrell Owens. The team on the television show "Hard Knocks." The team that has young gun Mark Sanchez at quarterback, Darrelle Revis snatching balls on defense, and the sudden big-name coach in Rex Ryan.
