NFL Predictions Week 7: Cam Newton to Continue Record-Setting Pace vs. Redskins

Through his first six games in the NFL, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has amassed 1,847 yards in the air to go along with seven passing touchdowns—which is on pace to break Peyton Manning's rookie passing record of 3,739 yards in 1998.
Look for Newton to continue his assault on the NFL, with the Washington Redskins being his next victim.
Although the Redskins are a good pass defense team, Newton's ability to run will keep the Redskins off guard more, and will open up more opportunities downfield for the Panthers against the Redskins.
Newton's incredible passing stats are only padded by his ability to scramble, as Newton has racked up 207 yards on the ground along with six rushing touchdowns.
With his current pace, Newton is set to rack up around 4,925 yards, so even missing a game or two wouldn't hurt Newton's chances of breaking Manning's record.
