NFL Preseason 2010: Oh No! Logan Mankins Ready To Sit Entire 2010 Season

As originally reported earlier today by Mike Reiss on ESPN Boston, Logan Mankins has apparently drawn a hard line in the sand.
In keeping with quotes from his agent: "This team has totally lost this player mentally," he has taken the final step necessary to ensure he won't play this year unless a sign-and-trade is worked out.
If a turd splats in the woods and nobody is around, does it make a sound?  Shortly put, who cares?
The guy is an interior lineman for pete's sake. And no matter how good he may be, that is one position that is by no means irreplaceable.
Dan Connolly has looked very good in preseason action, and will be surrounded by steady vets Dan Koppen and Matt Light.  What I'm trying to get at is despite all the hype, this line should be (and appears to be to this point) just fine sans its resident diva.
Meanwhile, Logan is presumably at his ranch surrounded by farm animals and their feces.  He could be part of a championship-calibe...
