While they're not the rookies most fans are anxious to see, the NFL's preseason ultimately is a platform for undrafted players to make NFL teams.
From Arian Foster to Tony Romo, the league is littered with the success stories of the NFL draft's forgotten men.
Entering Week 2 of the 2014 preseason, here are three undrafted rookies worth monitoring.
 
QB Chase Rettig
While the downpour of rain in the Green Bay Packers' preseason opener didn't provide Chase Rettig the most conducive conditions to succeed, he has impressed thus far in training camp.
Lombardi Ave's James Katorski went as far to predict that Rettig would usurp Scott Tolzien as the team's third-string quarterback.
Although Arthur Arkush of ChicagoFootball.com wasn't as optimistic about Rettig's chances, he, too, admits that Rettig has impressed Green Bay:
