NFL Spreads: Minnesota Vikings Given Edge in Chicago Over the Bears

With Green Bay on its bye week, the Chicago Bears can move into a tie for first place in the NFC North with a win over the Minnesota Vikings Sunday. Chicago figures to have a pretty good shot, considering Minnesota has lost its last eight road games.
NFL odds makers are basically calling this one a toss up, listing the Vikings as a 1-point favorite with the total set at 40.5.
Minnesota hasn’t won away from the Metrodome in over a year. It has also lost eight of its last nine on the road in the Windy City.
The Vikings, who are two games behind Chicago in the division standings, must find a way to win on the road if they have any hopes of making a playoff run.
Minnesota still has a long way to go before we can start any playoff talk, but last week’s win over Arizona may give the team the jump start it desperately needed.
