NFL Week 3 Injury Update: St. Louis Rams Steven Jackson Suffers Groin Injury

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson injured his groin on Sunday during their 30-16 victory over the Washington Redskins. He left the game and did not return.
Jackson was hurt on a 2-yard carry midway through the second quarter while being hit by multiple Redskins defenders. 
The two-time All-Pro tailback was down on the field for a substantial duration of time after being hit and he received prompt treatment on the Rams' sideline before heading into the locker room. 
Despite only playing in the first half, Jackson had 58 yards on 10 carries and also scored a 42-yard touchdown. 
In his seven years in the league, the former first-round selection has established himself as one of the premier running backs in the league. Regardless of his lack of supporting cast, he's been one of the few bright spots on a Rams team that's only managed to win six games in the past three seasons before Sunday.
