NFL Week 5 Picks: Philadelphia Eagles’ Brent Celek Should Be Busy

Kevin Kolb has been described as the ideal West Coast offense quarterback, in that he is renowned for being extremely accurate on short and intermediate-length passes. If the Eagles' offense plays to Kolb's greatest strengths, I expect Eagles tight end Brent Celek to be targeted frequently by Kolb come Sunday Night Football in San Francisco.

Celek was the sole Eagle to break into the end zone during Philadelphia's 17-12 loss to Washington, as he hauled in a 5-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Once Kevin Kolb took over the offense, he frequently threw underneath to LeSean McCoy, and come red zone time it was Celek who he turned to.

I expect Celek to continue to be a preferred Kolb target. He hasn't had many catches game to game, topping out at 4 catches in the Week 3 game against Jacksonville.

With big play tendencies of Michael Vick on the sidelines, I expect a steady receiver like Brent Celek to jump up a few notches in terms of preference for Kev...
