NFL Week 9 Odds: Arizona Cardinals Eight Point Underdogs To Minnesota

The season has not gone the way the Minnesota Vikings had envisioned it. After coming within an eye lash of the Super Bowl last season, hopes were high that Minnesota could reach its first NFL championship game in 34 years.
While reaching the playoffs may now be a long shot for the 2-5 Vikings, NFL oddsmakers do expect them to get back on track this week against the Arizona Cardinals. They have listed Minnesota as an eight-point favorite with the total set at 40.
The first sign that this season may not go as planned for Minnesota was an injury to Pro Bowl wide receiver Sidney Rice. He and future Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre built great chemistry in last season’s run to the NFC title game.
Lacking a deep threat, Minnesota turned to another future Hall of Famer, Randy Moss, in hopes of turning its season around. Moss’ poor reputation is no secret to any team across the league, but the Vikings decided to take a chance.
