NFLPA Reportedly Decides Not to Reduce Agent Fees: Details, Reaction

Despite a number of players wanting a reduction in agent fees, the NFL Players Association has decided against it for now, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Florio noted agents get a 3 percent cut from the contracts of the players they represent. The proposal was to reduce that number to 2 percent.
"As one source explained it, the discussions focused instead on educating players on their right to negotiate a lower fee than 3 percent," Florio wrote.
Florio noted the proposal has been "tabled" rather than being rejected.
Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman and New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings were part of the contingent leading the charge for reduced fees. 
The 1 percent difference may not seem like much, but it can add up. If a player makes $20 million per year, 3 percent of that is $600,000, and agents would be looking at a $200,000 decrease.
