NFL’s Final Power Rankings: It’s Mr. Rodgers’ Neighborhood

I hope you enjoyed the 2010 NFL season, because there is a decent possibility that will be the last football you watch for quite some time. Hopefully that isn’t the case.
Hopefully, the powers that be get their acts together so we can have a 2011 season. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a lockout if they lock out because the players refuse to play an 18-game schedule. That would be a disaster.
Outside of the owners, I don’t think anybody wants to see that. The NFL wants to work on protecting its players, so how exactly does adding two more games reflect that?
Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez appeared on Jim Rome Is Burning and made an excellent point. He has played 14 seasons in the NFL. Had he played with an 18 game season, that adds 28 games.
That is nearly an additional two NFL seasons. And this is coming from a guy that has enjoyed no serious injuries in his career, missing only two games! The NFL has got to take a closer look at what they are asking for.
