NY Jets Cut Hayden Panettiere’s Boyfriend, Wide Receiver Scotty McKnight

Scotty McKnight will not be a New York Jets wide receiver this season. He was cut from the team despite some high-profile cheering from his girlfriend Hayden Panettiere. 
Geoff Herbert of Syracuse.com reports the Jets will no longer have the actress famous for playing a cheerleader with super powers along any of their sidelines this season. 
We are directed to the official announcement from the Jets website that reports both wide receivers Scotty McKnight and DaMarcus Ganaway were waived on Tuesday. 
Well, that's no fun. 
Despite what should be a pretty busy schedule, Panettiere was spotted cheering on her man at the team's practices from SUNY Cortland. 
This ends the run for the 24-year-old receiver who was taken in the seventh round by the Jets, no doubt a tip of the hat to Mark Sanchez.
