Odell Beckham Jr. Named 2014 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made quite an impression on the NFL during his rookie season. The Associated Press thought so highly of the young star that it named him Offensive Rookie of the Year. 
The Giants congratulated their rookie receiver via Twitter:
Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News noted the finalists for the award and an interesting note about Beckham's win:
Making Beckham's numbers even more impressive is that he did in 12 games, sitting out the first four games of the year with a hamstring injury. The former LSU star to set an NFL record for receiving yards through 12 games, per ESPN Stats & Info:
That wasn't the only record Beckham set in his debut season. Around the NFL noted he tied Hall of Famer Michael Irvin's single-season record for consecutive games with at least 90 receiving yards:
