Percy Harvin Injury Update: Bills Place WR on Season-Ending IR

The Buffalo Bills placed wide receiver Percy Harvin on season-ending injured reserve Saturday after the playmaker failed to make progress in his recovery from multiple ailments.
Chris Brown of the team's official site confirmed the move and reported cornerback Leodis McKelvin will fill the void on the 53-man roster. Brown also noted Harvin picked up a knee injury this week in addition to his lingering hip problems, and that prompted the Bills to place him on IR.
At the start of the season, the 27-year-old wideout looked ready for a revitalizing year in Buffalo. He caught five passes for 79 yards and a long touchdown in the team's season-opening victory over the Indianapolis Colts and had 19 grabs through four games.
He failed to record a catch in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, however, and then missed each of the Bills' past two games.
