Pernell McPhee Injury: Updates on Bears LB’s Recovery from Knee Surgery

Chicago Bears linebacker Pernell McPhee is currently recovering after undergoing surgery on his left knee.

McPhee Undergoes Arthroscopic Surgery Wednesday, Feb. 24 According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Dr. James Andrews performed arthroscopic surgery on McPhee's problematic left knee.  
While an official recovery timetable hasn't been established, Biggs did note McPhee is expected to be healthy when the Bears open training camp this summer. 
McPhee, who mostly served as a situational rusher during his time with the Baltimore Ravens, has taken on a more prominent role with the Bears. Biggs noted he was on the field for 81.4 percent of Chicago's defensive snaps in the season's first eight games. 
Getting a chance to play every down has improved his numbers and allowed him to show a little more versatility. He finished 2015 with six sacks and one interception in 14 games.
