Peyton Manning Reportedly Asked John Madden for Advice Regarding Analyst Job

Retired quarterback Peyton Manning is mulling his options regarding the next step in his professional career, and the future Hall of Famer reportedly went to one of football's biggest names for help in making his decision.
According to Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead, Manning asked legendary announcer John Madden for advice on whether he should accept a position with CBS to be an NFL analyst alongside Jim Nantz.
Despite Madden's extensive experience in that very position, McIntyre reported Madden told Manning to pursue a front-office job or a piece of ownership.
Manning retired this offseason after winning the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos in his final game. He won two championships during his 17-year career to go along with 14 Pro Bowl appearances and five MVP awards.
The 40-year-old New Orleans native seems like a natural fit in the broadcast booth due to his knowledge of the game and well-spoken nature.
