While many teams will not want to touch Plaxico Burress due to his age and his recent inactivity in the NFL, Burress is still a top free agent when NFL free agency resumes.
Just having returned from prison, Burress hasn't played football since 2008, but that doesn't mean he won't be valuable to an NFL team. Since it is clear that the Giants do not want him, another team will likely take a chance on him, likely a team that will need a receiver.
