Report: Philadelphia Eagles Re-Sign Evan Mathis, Solidify Offensive Line

Just before 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that the Eagles have agreed to terms with left guard Evan Mathis. 
According to Schefter, the deal is for five years and $25 million, with $7 million guaranteed.
Mathis joined the Eagles in the summer of 2011 in an offseason that moved fast and furious. Knowing that the Birds desperately needed help protecting Michael Vick, the Eagles front office and new offensive line coach Howard Mudd swooped in and signed Mathis.
Alongside left tackle Jason Peters and the recently extended Todd Herremans, Mathis anchored an offensive line that started two rookies last season.
While many were skeptical of the new line, they did the job, ranking as Pro Football Focus' second best offensive line in 2011.
This past week, rumors swirled over Mathis' future, and he had reportedly been offered a contract by the Baltimore Ravens.
