Ryan Shazier Injury: Updates on Steelers LB’s Knee and Return

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs because of a knee injury, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.

Shazier Unable to Practice for 2nd Straight Day Thursday, Sept. 29 The Steelers also listed linebacker Lawrence Timmons on their injury report Thursday. Unlike Shazier, he was able to practice both Wednesday and Thursday. Having Timmons available would provide some cover for Pittsburgh should Shazier be unable to play.
On Tuesday, Fowler didn't downplay the effect of Shazier's absence, noting it would be the team's "most critical loss."
Shazier is among the most talented players on Pittsburgh's defense, contributing to the tune of 20 combined tackles and an interception this season.
While the 24-year-old has the makings of a superstar, staying on the field has been a significant issue for him over the course of his first three NFL seasons.
