Sammie Coates Injury: Updates on Steelers WR’s Finger and Return

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates was dealing with a fractured left index finger, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. However, he is ready to play.

Coates Active vs. Dolphins Sunday, Oct. 16 Per the Steelers' official website, Coates is ready to play against Miami in Week 6. 
Coates Emerging as New Deep Threat for Steelers  Coates didn't make much of an impact during his rookie campaign, as he caught just a single pass in six games after Pittsburgh took him in the third round last season. The Steelers are hoping he can make steady progression as he takes on a bigger role this season, though.
Although he hasn't dealt with a ton of injuries during his career, he admitted lackluster conditioning prevented him from getting more involved in his first season, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. He worked throughout the offseason to rectify the issue.
