Seahawks’ Thomas Rawls Meets Girl Who Freaked out over Getting His Jersey

Athletes inspire people every day—motivating them through their play or via their actions off the field. But fans can be a source of encouragement for their favorite players.
Such was the case for Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls and Sophie. 
Rawls, who was recently placed on injured reserve with a broken ankle, had his holiday brightened when he saw the young fan's adorably enthusiastic response to receiving his jersey on Christmas morning.


Wanting to return the favor and further sweeten her surprise, Rawls set out to find Sophie. For fan and player, the result was nothing short of unforgettable.
Looking at the photo, it's clear Sophie, tears of joy in her eyes, is touched, and Rawls' Instagram caption reveals the same on his part:
Thank you Sophie for helping me get out of my bed when I felt I had no energy, your video gave me so much life and I'm truly grateful of the opportunity of meeting you!! Your tears of joy were ast...
