Seattle Seahawks Add Another Former Coordinator—Name Carl Smith QB Coach

Pete Carroll again reached back to grab a coach with whom he had some familiarity. Carl Smith will become the new QB coach for the Seattle Seahawks.  He is replacing Jedd Fisch, who lasted just one season in Seattle (he has returned to the college game as the offensive coordinator at Miami).
Carroll and Smith have shared a few stints in years past.  Smith was the QB coach for head coach Carroll in New England.  Smith went on to become the QB coach with Cleveland, and was brought in by Carroll to be QB coach at USC in 2004.  He worked with Matt Leinart on the National Champion team.
His tenure was short-lived, as the Jacksonville Jaguars brought him in to be their offensive coordinator (a position he previously held with the New Orleans Saints).  He was there for the 2005 and 2006 seasons.  He saw some success in his first season, but injuries plagued the Jaguars in 2006.  Smith was released and then took two years away from football.&nb...
