Seattle Seahawks Cut RB LenDale White

In a sudden and somewhat stunning move, the Seattle Seahawks have waived running back LenDale White.
"It became apparent at this time that LenDale was not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks," general manager John Schneider said in a release issued by the team. "It just did not appear to be the right fit at this point in our program. We wish LenDale all the best with his future."
Seattle acquired the former USC running back from Tennessee in a deal on the third day of the draft. The Seahawks also acquired defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson, a fourth-round pick (#111, CB Walter Thurmond) and a sixth-round pick (#185, TE Anthony McCoy) for Seattle's fourth-round pick (#104) and sixth-round pick (#176).
By all outside accounts, White was in great shape and viewed as a strong contender for the starting job in 2010.
