Sergio Kindle of the Baltimore Ravens Has Narcolepsy

Sergio Kindle, the Baltimore Ravens first pick in the 2010 draft, has narcolepsy. Approximately one in 2000 Americans is afflicted with this sleep disorder.
Narcolepsy is commonly undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. The most common symptom of narcolepsy is excessive sleepiness, which can be diagnosed in many ways.  Without really studying a person's sleep habits, narcolepsy can be diagnosed as sleep apnea, sleep-deprivation, depression or epilepsy.
When a person is found to suffer from narcolepsy they can be treated with medication. Dr. Emmanuel Mignot is usually credited with discovering the cause of narcolepsy. Dr. Mignot, a sleep disorder specialist and psychologist at Stanford University, states that medication can bring a person "back to about 80% of what they were before they were diagnosed."
Kindle, is an unsigned rookie with the Ravens. He will miss training camp due to a fractured skull he suffered after falling down stairs.  It is unknown whether narc...
