Shaq Mason Injury: Updates on Patriots OG’s Hand and Return

New England Patriots guard Shaq Mason has suffered a broken hand, according to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe.

No Timetable Set for Mason's Return Sunday, Aug. 21 One positive for the Patriots is that Mason's injury isn't expected to keep him out for the duration of the season, according to McBride.
Nonetheless, it's a major blow for a Patriots team that's suddenly seen its depth chart on the offensive side of the ball take a major hit.
For starters, the team will be without quarterback Tom Brady for the first four games of the regular season. And according to McBride, Dion Lewis will need surgery on his knee and will start the season on the physically unable to perform list, while right tackle Sebastian Vollmer "is likely headed to injured reserve, though it’s unknown if his season is over."
