Veteran running back Stevan Ridley is drawing attention on the free-agent market with less than two weeks before the 2016 NFL regular season begins.

Ridley Visits Indianapolis Friday, Aug. 26 According to NFL.com's Mike Garafolo, Ridley is visiting with the Indianapolis Colts Friday. 
The Detroit Lions released Ridley on Thursday, two days before the always-crucial third preseason game. 
Just 27 years old, Ridley is trying to work his way back into the form that made him a crucial part of the New England Patriots offense in 2012 and 2013. He played in only six games during the 2014 season before tearing the ACL and MCL in his knee during an October contest against the Buffalo Bills. 
Ridley did make it back on the field last season with the New York Jets, but he carried the ball just 36 times for 90 yards in nine games.
