Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pillage Steelers Practice Squad to Replace DT Brian Price

After placing rookie defensive tackle Brian Price on injured reserve Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have pillaged the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad for young talent.
The Buccaneers signed defensive tackles Al Woods and Doug Worthington, 2010 fourth and seventh-round picks, respectively. Woods will join the Buccaneers active roster, while Worthington will join the practice squad.
Woods was originally drafted by the New Orleans Saints out of Louisiana State University, where he played in 41 games with 16 starts. He recorded 73 tackles, 3.5 sacks and eight tackles for a loss. As a senior, he started all 13 games, garnering 33 tackles and one sack with two passes defended. He also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown.
During LSU’s 2007 National Championship season, Woods recorded 22 tackles, two sacks and recovered three fumbles.
