Knighton Works Out for Former Team Monday, Oct. 10 According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Washington Redskins worked out the 30-year-old along with Phil Taylor on Monday.
Knighton started 15 games for the Redskins in 2015, totaling 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He joined the New England Patriots in the offseason but didn't make the team for the regular season.
Despite Washington's interest, Knighton told Erin Hawksworth of ABC 7 News that the team isn't planning on signing him.
The 6'3", 335-pound tackle is known for his prowess against the run, which could be useful for a Redskins team that ranks last in the NFL while allowing 5.1 yards per carry.
