Free-agent defensive tackle Terrance Knighton will visit the New England Patriots on Monday, as the organization tries to move on after missing out on Nick Fairley, who signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Pot Roast to Pats? Monday, March 28 Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news. Knighton, 29, spent last season in Washington. Rapoport indicated Washington has interest in bringing him back, but Knighton tweeted earlier in March he was told to "move on."
Knighton recorded 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2015, his first season in Washington. He spent the previous two years with the Denver Broncos, emerging as a vital run-stopping fixture. The Temple product was again stellar during his short stint in Washington, making him wonder why so many teams were giving up on him.
