Terrance Mitchell to Texans: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

The Houston Texans claimed cornerback Terrance Mitchell off waivers on Monday, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
The Dallas Cowboys released the former seventh-round pick on Friday.    
McClain noted Houston added Mitchell to replace rookie defensive back Richard Leonard, who tore his hamstring on Thursday.
Mitchell played three games for the Cowboys last year, mainly in stints as Dallas' dime cornerback. The team moved him to safety during this year's OTAs, but the results weren't great, as Cowboys Wire's Patrik Walker noted:
Houston is thin at corner, so any capable body is a good one to have at this point. Primarily, the Texans need a dime corner, and that's where Mitchell could get his opportunities. Mitchell has game experience and is physical in bump-and-run coverage.
