Terrell Owens Comments on Cowboys, Potential Return to NFL

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens admitted Wednesday that he never heard from the Dallas Cowboys after expressing his availability following an injury to Dez Bryant. He's still hoping an opportunity to return will arise, though.  
The 41-year-old wideout told TMZ Sports he's "staying ready, so I don't have to get ready" should the Cowboys come calling in the near future.
"I haven't heard anything as of yet ... but that's not to say that anything can't happen," Owens said.
The six-time Pro Bowler also stated he would consider teams beyond the Cowboys, but the "right situation" would need to present itself.
Owens returned to the spotlight last month when he talked about making a comeback during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show (via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk). The former superstar had his agent reach out to the Cowboys and hoped the team could look beyond past problems:
