The Bettor’s Guide to NFL Wild Card Weekend

We're closing in on .500 after a positive Week 17 last week. With only four games to pick from this week, we hope to continue the momentum moving forward.
Unfortunately, three of the eight slated starting passers this week are backup quarterbacks, and with so few games to bet on, the public is already loading up on what you would typically consider "public" teams. Luckily, though, if you're not shy from making ugly bets on the surface, there is a lot of value this week form a point-spread perspective.
We will go over the general narrative of these four Wild Card Round games, pick the best line for each squad from OddsShark's database and choose an overall selection for each game. We will use Five Thirty Eight and the Massey Rating as the gauge for where a line should land from a power-rankings standpoint, and when applicable, with significant trends, we'll use TeamRankings.com's database to pull up interesting situational stretches of against-the-spread play.
