Theo Riddick Injury: Updates on Lions Star’s Ankle and Return

Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick left will miss Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams due to an ankle injury.
Riddick Out vs. Rams  Friday, Oct. 14 Riddick, 25, had missed practice all week because of the injury. Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website passed along the updated injury report that ruled him out. 
The former Notre Dame star has broken out for the Lions as a reliable third-down back. He's taken on even more responsibility throughout this season, though, with Ameer Abdullah on injured reserve and Dwayne Washington dealing with an injury.
Riddick has rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown while adding 26 receptions for 190 yards coming out of the backfield. He's shown intelligence in the open field and has become a favorite of Matthew Stafford, continuing a trend that began in 2014.
