Tom Coughlin Comments on Departure from Giants, Future as Head Coach

Former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin confirmed what many suspected in an interview with the Jay Mohr Show on Fox Sports Radio Tuesday by revealing that it was not his decision to part ways with Big Blue. 
According to John Healy of the New York Daily News, the two-time Super Bowl-winning head coach admitted in the interview that the Giants' choice to move on has been difficult for him: "Hey, do I agree with the move? Of course not. It hurts. It hurts. Former is not a good word. I don't like the word, but that's the way it is."
The 69-year-old native of Waterloo, New York, interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles' vacant head-coaching job after being replaced by Ben McAdoo, but the two sides ultimately failed to reach an agreement, and Doug Pederson was hired instead.
