Trent Cole to Be Released by Eagles: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

Veteran linebacker Trent Cole will be looking for a new team for the 2015 NFL season.
Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to release Cole within the next 24 hours "after both sides could not agree on a revised contract, a league source confirmed."
Cole took to Twitter to say farewell, saying "Taking trip to new hunting grounds that I'll have chance at a trophy of a lifetime!"
Cole was never the Eagles' best tackler on the field or their biggest playmaker, but he was a durable and reliable piece of the linebacker depth. He played in all 16 games in six of his 10 seasons for the Eagles and never appeared in fewer than 14.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora added that several teams will be interested in a player of Cole's quality and that the New York Jets could be one of them because of his connection to head coach Todd Bowles.
