The Cincinnati Enquirer's Jim Owczarski reported on Tuesday that Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert will have surgery on his ankle. An exact timeline for his recovery has yet to be revealed.

Eifert's Surgery Date Revealed Wednesday, May 25 NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Eifert is in Charlotte on to undergo "minor" surgery, which will be performed by "Dr. Robert Anderson today to repair a loose ligament on the side of his foot."
Latest on Eifert's Timeline for Return Wednesday, May 25 ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing a source, reported on Tuesday that Eifert is in jeopardy of not being ready for the start of the regular season. On Wednesday, Rapoport reported that "the hope is he's ready for the season. Worst-case scenario is to be out for the first few games."
