Vikings’ Minneapolis Metrodome Roof Collapses;Game Moved To Detroit’s Ford Field

The NFL announced Sunday morning that the Minneapolis Metrodome's roof collapsed after 15 or more inches of snow fell on the 28-year-old stadium over the weekend. Because of these concerns, the Minnesota Vikings' Sunday afternoon game against the New York Giants was rescheduled on Saturday (before the collapse) to 8 p.m. on Monday, but a new location for the game has yet to be determined.
If it favors either team more, it's the Vikings. Now the ailing Brett Favre, who has a sprained SC joint in his shoulder, has extra time to heal before he has to go against the third-ranked Giants defense in terms of sacks.
According to USA Today, the University of Minnesota's TCF Field could be a possible alternate location. Domed stadiums in Indianapolis and Detroit could also be possibilities.
If the game is played at TCF Field, the NFL will have to refund some tickets, because TCF Field only houses 50,805 people, whereas the Metrodome can hold 64,111.
