Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was hit with the exclusive franchise tag on Tuesday, as he and the team continue to work on a deal that will keep the Super Bowl MVP in Denver on a long-term basis.

Latest on Miller's Contract Demands Wednesday, March 2 Albert Breer of NFL.com reported that both sides acknowledge Miller will take a discount, but he added that the question is from what, referencing Ndamukong Suh's deal with the Miami Dolphins, which was for an average of $19 million per season with $60 million guaranteed.
Breer added that rival executives said Miller would fetch over $20 million per season on the open market.
Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reported the Broncos "made it clear" to Miller that they'll top the six years and $101 million the Kansas City Chiefs gave to Justin Houston.
