If you did not look at each team’s record, you would never think the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6) would be listed as betting favorites against the San Diego Chargers (2-8).
But the Chargers are in the midst of an abysmal campaign and still do not know where they will call home next year, adding extra anxiety to the situation for both coaches and players. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have a legit shot at winning the AFC South.
This is only the second time since 2010 that Jacksonville has been favored by more than a field goal at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark, and the team is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games as chalk.
But the Jaguars have also gone 1-6 straight up in their last seven games following a victory and will be facing a San Diego team that has won the past four meetings.
