With McNabb’s Availability, Vikings May Now Need an Answer from Favre

Citing sources close to the situation, reports are that Donovan McNabb is interested in going to the Minnesota Vikings. There are a few teams in the running, but the Philadelphia Eagles are searching for a top-42 draft pick in return. It has been said the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals are out of the running, but the reports continue on the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders. McNabb has stated that if he is to be traded he wants to go to a contender. The Minnesota Vikings are just that.
Vikings coach Brad Childress used to be McNabb’s offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, and both teams run the West Coast offense. McNabb is in the last year of his contract and while a few teams may only have his services for a year, the Vikings have a core that should be good for some time.
