Signing Ertz A Priority This Offseason Friday, Jan. 22 According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advance Media on Friday, the Eagles are expected to make Ertz an offer for a new deal "soon."  
During his three years in the NFL, Ertz has only seen his numbers go up. In 2015, he put up career highs with 75 receptions for 853 yards. 
He was one of the most consistent members of an Eagles offense that was anything but under Chip Kelly. 
And under new head coach Doug Pederson, his game could improve even more. As the former offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, Pederson's unit targeted tight end Travis Kelce 187 times over the past two seasons, per Shorr-Parks.
